We bring all these individual components together in AI-hub East Netherlands. The increasingly strong AI ecosystem that is emerging creates an attractive business climate for new companies, attracts researchers and digital talent to the region, and offers opportunities to secure funding, including in Europe. In short, it provides more capacity for the further development and demand-driven application of AI.
Applications East Netherlands possesses a unique set of competencies in the field of AI and data that we aim to further expand. We have a nationally and internationally distinctive position in Medical Imaging, Health Robotics, Smart Farming, Food Processing, Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Robotics, Semicon Technology, and Decentralized Energy Management. The focus of AI-hub East Netherlands is to capitalize on economic opportunities now and in the future. To achieve this, increasing the investment readiness and investment opportunities for AI and data projects by SMEs is crucial.
East Netherlands is strong in multiple sectors and has a diverse mix of entrepreneurship, including family businesses, SME enterprises, hidden champions, and startups. Each entrepreneur and sector has its own challenges in the field of AI and data. AI-hub East Netherlands collaborates with innovation clusters in various sectors. We work together with organizations such as One Planet, Connectr, Health Valley, EDIH BOOST, Perron038, and Fraunhofer Innovation Platform on the development of research, innovation, and development projects, as well as broader programs.
