With Horizon Europe, the European Commission (EC) aims to increase Europe's competitiveness by stimulating science and innovation. There are various relevant calls in which innovation projects on AI applications can be carried out. More information can be found on the European Commission's website.
To obtain more information about the program, Horizon Europe infodays are organized by the European Commission. You can find more information about these infodays here.
The Horizon program is divided into clusters, and calls focusing on the application of AI are included in each of these clusters. The clusters are as follows:
- Health
- Culture, Creativity, and Inclusive Society
- Civil security for society
- The work program for Cluster 3 is still missing from the list of pre-publications. The European Commission will implement it following the last budget discussions in mid-December.
- Digital, Industry, and Space
- Climate, Energy, and Mobility
- Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment
Due to the complexity of this funding and the application procedure, we recommend this form of funding for large companies and university institutions with experience in European subsidy programs.
