The increasing digitization of healthcare is creating new opportunities to organize care in a smarter, more efficient, and more personalized way.AI offers significant opportunities to improve the health of the population while simultaneously alleviating the strain on the healthcare system.<h2>The Impact of AI on Healthcare</h2>The application of AI in healthcare is broad and affects the entire chain: from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and aftercare.Among other things, AI enables:<ul><li data-list-item-id="e258592762d14a9cde2380a7d7a7a2bbc">a shift from reactive care to prevention and early detection;</li><li data-list-item-id="e45a62d46f130414f634088041bb8c233">faster and more accurate diagnoses, for example through medical image analysis;</li><li data-list-item-id="e80378a71b8adae163ef14404247202db">personalized treatments tailored to the individual patient;</li><li data-list-item-id="e74549e4c39c6b672192673e434d5d056">support for self-management, particularly for chronic conditions;</li><li data-list-item-id="e69f41d7c91791e805c116d752a8ceede">faster insight into and better response to epidemics.</li></ul>Through these applications, AI helps ensure that the right care is provided in the right place at the right time.The Netherlands has always been a leader in the digitization of healthcare and the necessary infrastructure.
